Where the Wild Things Are

Where the Wild Things Are by Shirley Fachilla, Oil, 16 x 12

Oil on linen

Our botanical garden in Nashville has these wonderful stone guardians at the entrance to the formal garden area. They are sphinx and the human portion is portrayed as very French, very pretty 18th century women. The non-human parts are... well, crouching lions!
